Coordinator of Sacred Music

Diocese of Green Bay St. Paul Parish is seeking a collaborative, Christ-centered missionary disciple to serve as part-time Coordinator of Sacred Music.
Ministry responsibilities include:
selecting and preparing sacred music based on the liturgical rubrics and norms of the Catholic Church coordinating, encouraging, and forming volunteer accompanists and cantors directing the choir for rehearsals, weekend liturgies, and Holy Days coordinating music for funerals and weddings attending Diocesan formation/training opportunities working in close collaboration with the Pastor to encourage a deepening understanding of Eucharistic worship for the parish community.
The right candidate will:
have piano and or organ accompaniment and song leading proficiency lead and conduct a choir know and understand the role of music within the Holy Mass be familiar with a variety of liturgical resources and work within a set budget be familiar with the Source and Summit Missal hymnal and its chants and hymnody, as well as its online portal collaboratively work with the Pastor, staff team, and Diocesan leaders communicate regularly with volunteers
