About The Role As a Communications & Public Affairs Manager you will manage our communications strategy, objectives, and accomplishments through the conceptualization, preparation, publication, and distribution of annual and interim reports, news releases, web content, multimedia, and video productions. You will report to the Project Director, OSMS, Westinghouse Government Services and be located in Lexington, Kentucky. This is a Hybrid role.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and implement an integrated employee communications plan to help achieve our goals
Oversee internal employee communication programs, including newsletters, the Intranet, and related communications
Identify and analyze communication to resolve communication barriers
Follow organizational policies and systems responsive to the organizational goals
Maintain a library of photographic, periodical, and other resource materials relating to our organization
Lead special projects, including arranging employee events and volunteerism/community relations events
Develop and implement a strategic public relations plan to strengthen our brand, increase positive awareness of the organization, and achieve our goals
Prepare and distribute news releases on organizational accomplishments
Be the contact for media access to senior management, and assist with major news media interviews
Prepare multi-dimensional communications, including advertising, web content, videos, scripts, multimedia, photos, and presentations
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
9+ years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required
US citizenship required
Travel to support events at the Paducah, KY plant and Portsmouth plant in Piketon, OH, one to two times per month for one to two days a trip is expected.
We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $112,400 to $140,500 per year.
