Job Overview The
Marketing Manager – Mass Channel
will lead the development and execution of strategic marketing initiatives tailored to mass retail partners in the U.S. This role requires close collaboration with product, sales, and cross-functional marketing teams to drive brand growth, enhance consumer engagement, and support retail success across mass channels. The ideal candidate is a collaborative, results‑driven marketer with a deep understanding of the mass retail landscape.
This position reports to the
Sr. Director Global Brand Marketing
and is based out of our Irvine office.
As the Marketing Manager‑Mass, you will have an opportunity to:
Responsibilities
Lead and manage all marketing deliverables for mass channel accounts—ensuring alignment with brand strategy, timelines, and budgets.
Collaborate with Visual Merchandising, Sales, and Product Marketing to develop impactful trade and consumer marketing programs that elevate brand visibility and drive sell‑through at mass retailers.
Build and maintain strong relationships with mass retail partners and internal sales teams to support strategic initiatives and maximize retail performance.
Develop and execute brand strategies and marketing plans that resonate with mass market consumers and reinforce brand equity.
Ensure consistent brand representation across all consumer touchpoints, including packaging, POP, advertising, digital content, PR, and in‑store experiences.
Partner with internal teams to amplify brand presence at national trade shows and retail events, including coordination of press releases, digital content, and media outreach.
Create compelling written content for marketing assets including brand stories, product sheets, email campaigns, press kits, and retailer proposals.
Manage advertising contracts and media plans—negotiating renewals and optimizing placements for mass channel relevance.
Conceptualize and execute unique event activations and retail promotions that engage consumers and strengthen retailer relationships.
Maintain and grow databases for media, industry contacts, and consumer outreach specific to mass channel initiatives.
Coordinate marketing efforts for Action Sports TV and other relevant media platforms targeting mass audiences.
Lead tradeshow planning and execution for mass channel representation.
You Have
5–7 years of experience in retail marketing, mass channel marketing, or agency work with a focus on consumer brands.
Proven success in developing and executing marketing strategies for mass retail environments.
Exceptional writing and communication skills with a strong grasp of brand storytelling and business writing.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with publishing/design software is a plus.
Deep understanding of consumer behavior in mass retail and competitive market dynamics.
Strategic thinker with strong leadership, collaboration, and project management skills.
Pay Range Annual Salary: $92,400.00 - $121,000.00
The actual annual salary offered to a candidate will be based on variables including experience, geographic location, education, and skills/achievements, and will be mutually agreed upon at the time of offer.
