The Role
The Graphic Production Artist is a detail-oriented, technical role responsible for the final preparation, refinement, and delivery of all digital and print design assets. You will work closely with the creative and account teams to ensure all final files meet precise technical specifications, brand standards, and are optimized for flawless production.

Key Responsibilities
File Preparation: Prepare, correct, and package final artwork for both print (e.g., brochures, packaging, signage) and digital (e.g., web banners, email graphics, social media) production.
Technical Refinement: Apply pre‑press checks, including managing color separations, ensuring correct bleeds, marks, resolution, and file formats (e.g., press‑ready PDFs, EPS, high‑res JPEGs/PNGs).
Version Control & Resizing: Create multiple final versions and mechanicals from approved master designs, resizing assets for various platforms and print dimensions with meticulous accuracy.
Quality Assurance: Conduct final quality‑control checks on all artwork to ensure brand consistency, correct typography, and zero errors before releasing files to vendors or launching online.
Asset Management: Maintain and organize a library of digital assets, including fonts, logos, images, and final production files.
Collaboration: Communicate effectively with designers, printers, developers, and project managers to troubleshoot file issues and ensure smooth delivery against tight deadlines.
Template Creation: Develop and maintain production templates for common assets to improve team efficiency and consistency.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Experience: 2–4+ years of professional experience as a Graphic Production Artist, Production Designer, or similar technical design role.
Software Expertise:
Adobe InDesign (Expert‑level proficiency a must)
Adobe Illustrator
Adobe Photoshop
Adobe Acrobat
Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of print production processes, pre‑press requirements, digital ad specifications, color management (CMYK, RGB, Spot Colors), and file optimization.
Attention to Detail: Exceptional eye for detail and commitment to producing error‑free, pixel‑perfect final artwork.
Project Management: Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks in a deadline‑driven environment.
Education: A degree or certificate in Graphic Design, Production Arts, or a related field is preferred.

Excellent customer service
Troubleshooting database management experience
Experience working with digital asset management (DAM) systems
Familiarity with motion graphics software (e.g., After Effects) for basic asset preparation
Working knowledge of HTML/CSS for digital asset troubleshooting
AlphaGraphics centers (locations) are independently owned and operated. The posted positions are offered by individual franchisees who interview, hire, manage and pay the employees hired for positions in a specific local location (center) through their specific business.
