Role Overview:
DDC IT Services seeks a Web Developer to support the Air Force Education community, focusing on systems such as the personnel management and database management subsystems. The developer will analyze functional business applications, translate designs into web specifications, test and debug applications, manage software development, and provide end‑user training and documentation.
Responsibilities
Support development, maintenance, and operating efficiency of major subsystems, including personnel management and database systems.
Analyze functional business applications and design specifications.
Develop application diagrams, workflow and data flow charts.
Translate detailed design into web application specifications.
Test, debug, and refine applications to meet required product specifications.
Manage software development and support using formal specifications and accepted design techniques.
Assist in end‑user training.
Prepare program‑level and user‑level documentation.
Qualifications
Must be a U.S. Citizen able to obtain National Agency Check (NAC) Clearance.
Skills Required
Content and template management for AFIT public and private web pages.
Develop web applications that benefit AFIT missions.
Provide documentation of applications and processes.
Support applications weekdays during normal business hours.
Maintain mobile applications and web content where applicable.
Work with customers to understand requirements and provide required support using graphics, multimedia and administrative interfaces.
Work with customers to develop content.
Apply Section 508 Compliance using Web 2.0 standards.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Self‑starter and team player.
Ability to follow instructions through to task completion.
Understanding of matrixed organizations (customer‑client‑contractor).
Technical Skills Required
ColdFusion experience (primary).
Develop and maintain applications using HTML, JavaScript, CSS, SQL, jQuery, Oracle APEX, and Oracle.
Certifications
CompTIA Security+ CE
Minimum Level of Education
Associate's Degree
