Overview
KFOX14/CBS4 is seeking an aggressive, energetic and creative part‑time Weekend Assignment Editor/Associate Producer.
This role requires strong logistical skills, adept communication, and the ability to coordinate crews strategically in the El Paso‑Las Cruces DMA.
Key Responsibilities
Assign and track news crews for live coverage.
Identify and develop daily content, including beat checks and breaking news.
Write and post content to the station website and social media sites.
Maintain contacts and sources for enterprise story ideas.
Assist in efficient assignment desk operations.
Required Skills and Experience
Commitment to journalistic standards of ethics and accuracy.
Effective communication under pressure and ability to meet deadlines.
Basic computer knowledge and word‑processing skills.
General knowledge and interest in local, national, and world news.
Proficiency with Facebook, Twitter, and emerging social media platforms.
Bachelor’s degree in journalism preferred.
