Job Description WGR 550 AM is seeking technically-savvy candidates for a FULL TIME position overseeing the control room operation in a multi-faceted LIVE audio environment.

Responsibilities

Maintain Program and Commercial Log

Operate Audio Control Board for Live, Satellite, Paid, and Pre-Recorded Programming

Work with Show Hosts

Record and Edit Audio

Upload Audio and Post Information on Websites and Podcasts

Transmit and Receive EAS Weekly and EAS Monthly Tests

Monitor Broadcast Stations (6 Total) and Building-related emergencies; notify Engineer on Call immediately if problems are detected

Other duties as required by management

Qualifications

Audio board operation skills and digital editing abilities; able to multi-task and adapt in a fast-paced environment

Experience interacting with live on-air talent; problem solver; maintain operation within FCC guidelines

Flexible schedule preferred

Physical Requirements The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands and/or fingers to handle objects, reach with hands and arms, and talk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Vision abilities required include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment. Position requires ability to manipulate knobs, levers, and push buttons.
