Intermediate Interior Designer
at Bennett Leifer Interiors
BLI is seeking a talented and detail oriented designer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate has strong creative and technical skills as well as lines up aesthetically with the firm. Has a point of view and style that you can add to our team.
Job Requirements
Vendor Responsibilities:
Obtain all vendor-related information to execute accurate furniture plan and elevation drawings.
Verify relationships between furnishings.
Create and issue proper construction related documentation.
Create and issue presentation documents including rendered elevations.
Create purchase orders.
Draw vendor specified items into CAD form, including details and components that affect buildability.
Meet with vendors on site and in office to initiate and refine their work orders, as well as direct them on how to meet our design needs.
Verify that all details align with budget, schedule logistics and client requests as they are developed.
Client Responsibilities:
Prepare for and initiate small reviews as needed for miscellaneous open items (directly).
Create presentation documents including floor plans, interior elevations and design presentations as per BLI Handbook guidelines.
Maintain project notes and meeting agendas, issuing regular updates to team and clients.
Site measure and accurately document site conditions.
Office Responsibilities:
Maintain project server folder, binders, and material drawers.
Coordinate with outside architects, contractors & subcontractors to define and maintain optimal project schedule.
Independently maintain an active and appropriate server library, particularly for CAD.
Proactively manage client budgets and prepare invoice packages in alignment with project needs and schedules.
