Production Scheduler (Graphics Focus) – Print Center Join our team at Portland Community College. As the largest post‑secondary institution in Oregon, PCC serves approximately 80,000 students across four campus sites and 200 community locations. We are seeking an enthusiastic, team‑oriented candidate for the in‑person Print Center Production Scheduler (Graphic Design Focus) position at the Sylvania campus Print Center. This role reports to the Print Center District Manager and is responsible for preparing estimates and charges, maintaining the Print Center online order website, assisting clients, staff, and students with printing, copying, and graphic design work, and operating printers and copiers to produce printed materials accurately and on schedule.

Responsibilities

Prepare estimates and charges for clients using computerized billing software.

Maintain the Print Center online order website for order tracking.

Assist clients, staff, and students with printing, copying, and graphic design work.

Operate printers and copiers, ensuring high‑quality prints that meet client specifications.

Collate and deliver printed materials to clients and departments.

Monitor inventory of supplies and report shortages to management.

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.

Associate’s degree or two years of training in printing, graphic art, or a related field (experience performing the duties above may substitute for the degree or training on a year‑for‑year basis).

Two years of experience in a production environment.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.

Success Criteria

Experience with Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable processes and procedures.

Experience with scheduling or project management.

Experience with billing software.

Strong customer and vendor relations skills.

Strong attention to detail.

Basic understanding of printing processes and procedures.

Demonstrated experience working successfully in a culturally diverse organization with multiple locations.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working in a high‑volume office environment with frequent customer contact.

Experience with graphic design programs (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop).

Experience designing projects with customers.

Experience with large‑format printing.

Experience with mail merge.

Experience in a production or printing environment.

Experience setting up files for print.

Demonstrated knowledge of Excel and spreadsheet creation.

How We Determine Initial Salary Placement Initial placement range: $55,159 to $56,813 per year. Higher placement may be available based on qualifications, experience, and internal equity. Full range: $55,159 to $88,510.
