Industrial Designer – 6‑month contract, $30/hr, 40 hrs/week, onsite in Mason, Ohio, occasional travel to vendors and downtown Cincinnati offices.
Responsibilities
Partner with designers across industrial, graphic, digital, innovation, and fashion disciplines to execute high‑quality product and package design solutions.
Support the development of new forms, systems, and experiences that refresh brands and elevate consumer satisfaction.
Collaborate with technical and manufacturing teams to balance consumer needs with engineering requirements and production constraints.
Provide clear, actionable feedback related to color development, surface quality, and material performance.
Help document design intent using Adobe, Microsoft, and CAD tools.
Manage multiple priorities while maintaining alignment with broader project goals and brand guidelines.
Bring a positive, solution‑oriented mindset to timelines, technical challenges, and cross‑team collaboration.
Qualifications
Strong visual sensitivity to color and the ability to score "Superior" on the Munsell Hue Discrimination Test.
Skilled in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator for documentation and communication of design intent.
Proficiency in CAD software (any major 3D modeling tool).
Excellent collaboration skills – able to work with multiple design disciplines and cross‑functional partners.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (required for travel between Mason, Cincinnati downtown offices, and vendors).
Strong problem‑solving mindset with the ability to navigate timing, alignment, and technical challenges.
