This job opportunity is available at any location in the United States. Ideally, selected candidates will be near a Jacobs U.S. based office, but we intend to hire the “best” candidates.

We are looking for a driven and curious Structural Design Technician to provide leadership and support our Built Environment team.

Base Pay Range $61,100.00 – $84,000.00 per year (pay is hourly based on hours worked; individual pay is determined by work location and skills)

Responsibilities

Work closely with clients and construction trade partners to develop design concepts and create models from scratch.

Coordinate designs, taking into account existing conditions and other disciplines.

Convey structural requirements to the construction team through traditional 2D paper deliverables and/or BIM 3D Revit models.

Provide leadership for a small project with a team of designers, establishing project standards, procedures, training, and building morale.

Engage with a vibrant, dynamic team delivering world‑class designs for well‑known clients around the world.

Qualifications – Required

High School Diploma or equivalent.

At least 5 years drafting/design experience in the structural field.

At least 1 year of Revit experience.

At least 3 years AutoCAD design experience.

Qualifications – Preferred

At least 2 years of Revit experience.

Experience working on traditional steel and concrete structures.

Experience leading a team of designers.

Experience with healthcare, institutional, or commercial buildings.

Experience with Navisworks and Bluebeam.
