We're looking for a
skilled, motivated Middle-Level Cartographic Analyst
to join the Intelligence & Unmanned Enterprise (IUE) team supporting the
Human Geography Division (SFGE)
– the organization responsible for delivering mission-critical human geography intelligence to the IC, NSG, and ASG.

What You'll Do (Essential Duties) As a Cartographic Analyst, you will be a vital contributor to the production, refinement, and dissemination of Human Geography intelligence. Your responsibilities will include:
Human Geography & Geospatial Production
Apply your knowledge of geography, research methods, GIS, and data management to produce Human Geography datasets, maps, and written reports.
Perform advanced data conflation, attribution, and integration to ensure accuracy and completeness of mission products.
Mission & Program Support
Support the International Program for Human Geography (IPHG) through quality assurance, training, and technical/geospatial assistance during Plenary and Technical meetings.
Provide analysis and geospatial expertise to customer IPHG and international engagement activities (bilateral and multilateral).
Data Acquisition & Dissemination
Partner with government personnel to acquire, manage, and distribute Human Geography data.
Post products to NSG repositories including APAN and PiX.
Identify emerging tools, data sources, and technologies to enhance Human Geography awareness and collaboration across the, DoD, and Civil Agencies.
Technical Collaboration
Participate in technical exchanges with government counterparts, international partners, and contract teams – both locally and across global mission areas.
Primary Responsibilities (Cartography Focus)
Work within a blended government/contractor team supporting
Electronic Nautical Chart (ENC) conversion, production, and review .
Support mission areas involving
Digital Nautical Chart (DNC)
and
ENC conversion workflows .
Perform cartographic and GIS analysis using rasterized nautical charts, digital hydrographic survey data, and ortho‑rectified imagery.
Extract, attribute, and validate features for hydrographic products and NGA databases.
Basic Qualifications
5+ years of GEOINT experience
Strong background in
geography, cartography, and GIS
Proficiency with
ArcGIS applications
Understanding of digital cartography and NGA production formats
Experience analyzing imagery and non‑imagery data for hydrographic environments
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience in
Nautical Maritime domains
Familiarity with maritime charting, ENC workflows, and hydrographic data
