Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
6 years of visual design experience in product design or UX for consumer-facing products (B2C).

Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in Design, Human–Computer Interaction, Computer Science, or a related field.
3 years of experience working in a complex, cross‑functional organization.
Experience with industry standard design tools (e.g., Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketch, InVision, Figma, Principle, etc.).
Experience implementing visual design systems across platforms in an iterative software development environment, applying design tools (e.g., Figma, Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketch).
Deep understanding of visual foundations and systems.
About the Job
Google’s Visual Designers weave space, typography, color, iconography, and texture together to help people navigate our products. The Visual Craft and Systems team focuses on elevating visual design across key AI product experiences in Google Search by designing elegant systems that scale. As a Visual Designer, you will rely on user‑centered design methods to craft industry‑leading user experiences—from concept to execution—while collaborating closely with design partners to evolve the Google design language.
Responsibilities
Develop systems, components, and patterns that elevate emerging product experiences.
Drive the development of innovative design solutions to user, product, and business problems.
Deliver design solutions based on user insights, business needs, and industry trends that further business outcomes.
Influence stakeholders across functions to gain support for design strategies.
Provide feedback and critique to designers to maintain a high quality and coherence bar during product ideation and user research/testing.
Salary and Benefits
The US base salary range for this full‑time position is $151,000 – $222,000, plus bonus, equity, and benefits. Individual pay determination considers location and relevant experience or education.
