Software Platform Architect – Communication Technologies We are looking for a Software Platform Architect – Communication Tech to lead the design and evolution of the communication software domain within a next-generation automotive software platform. This role focuses on architecting scalable, reliable, and standards-compliant communication frameworks that power next-generation vehicles. The candidate will ensure seamless integration of communication protocols, gateways, and services across embedded ECUs, HPCs, and vehicle networks. Contract type: Permanent Benefits: Competitive rate; opportunity to shape the communication backbone of next-generation vehicles; collaboration with international cross-functional teams Responsibilities Define and document the overall platform architecture for the Communication domain , covering software components, gateways, and central compute integration Lead the architectural roadmap for in-vehicle networking and communication frameworks. Ensure alignment with industry standards and best practices (CAN, LIN, Ethernet, SOME/IP, TCP/IP) Collaborate with hardware, systems, and software teams to ensure feasibility, performance, and long-term scalability Define KPIs for communication reliability, safety, and performance Drive integration of communication stacks across AUTOSAR Classic, AUTOSAR Adaptive, Linux, and QNX environments Support fault management strategies, protocol translation, and service-oriented interface design Lead cross-functional reviews and align stakeholders on long-term communication platform strategies Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical/Computer Engineering, or related field 8+ years of embedded software design/development experience in communication domains Strong knowledge of software architecture and modeling (UML/SysML, IBM Rhapsody/Enterprise Architect) Experience with AUTOSAR Classic & Adaptive communication stacks Familiarity with ECU internal communication (SPI, shared memory) Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills Preferred Qualifications Systems-level understanding of vehicle E/E architecture and inter-domain interactions Experience in Agile/Scrum environments Knowledge of ASPICE, V-model, and functional safety/security standards Exposure to time synchronization, gateways, and multi-domain communication strategies Next steps Press “Apply” We will review your application If qualified, you will be accepted into the network and can be considered for this and similar positions & projects Seniority level Mid-Senior level Employment type Full-time Industries Motor Vehicle Manufacturing #J-18808-Ljbffr
