Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills, and internal equity. This is a Salaried position. Overview POSITION SUMMARY: The College and Medical Center Librarian collaborates with library leadership regarding the development and implementation of the academic medical center library collection and services. Provides all aspects of library activities, including cataloging, shelving, circulation, acquisitions and deletions, and client services. Collaborates with all applicable personnel to facilitate the achievement of computer and information literacy of all library patrons. Investigate the possibility of integrating new library technologies and services across all areas of library operations. Responsible for ensuring the library complies with all regulatory agencies. Works effectively with administration, faculty, students, and staff to promote library patron and student success. Required Qualifications Education: Masters Library Sciences Experience: 2 years of librarian experience Experience using one of the following: Medline, OVID Technologies, OCLC, database searching techniques Other skills/knowledge: Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software. Preferred Qualifications Experience: Three years of experience working in a medical library setting. Other requirements/information: Requires knowledge of office procedures and, in particular, the administration of a college and academic medical center library Knowledge of nationally recognized standards of information literacy (set by the Association of College and Research Libraries) Ability to communicate effectively and work with a diverse range of individuals and groups.
