Overview Music Program Manager role at Third Street Music School Settlement . Job title: Music Program Manager. Department: Third Street Partners. Reports to: Director of Third Street Partners. Annual salary: $60,000 - $65,000.
The Full-Time Program Manager of Third Street Partners will work directly with the Director of Third Street Partners and collaborate with other staff as needed. They will serve as a vital member of the Third Street Partners administrative team, working to support faculty, and ensure timely communication and coordination among Third Street’s Partner Schools and Faculty. Duties include supervising 10+ teaching artists, site visits, instrument delivery, and liaison with school staff, as well as on-site administration.
Responsibilities & Duties Overseeing the partnerships, faculty and programming in specific partner sites
Working with site leaders to advocate and monitor working conditions and quality instruction
Traveling to partner sites across all five boroughs for regular visits, performances, and delivery of instructional supplies
Assisting Director with hiring, retention, and supervision of faculty
Determining teaching and concert schedules for faculty with assigned sites
Observing classes, and maintaining documentation on partnership activity
Helping plan, schedule and prepare for professional development of faculty
Ensuring that instruments, music and supplies are available for partner sites
Coordinating school performances and family engagement events
Establishing and implementing processes for encouraging and increasing Partner student participation in Music and Dance School activities
Maintaining and disseminating program statistics
Attending regular meetings as requested by the Director
Performing any other department or organization-related duties or special projects as directed by supervisor
Skills and Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in music education or arts administration
2+ years’ experience teaching in large group settings, public schools, or community music schools
