Work Location: Remote in the United States

Work Schedule/Workload: Approximately 24 hours over a 2‑week period (actual schedule may vary)

Rate: $28 per hour (expected throughput of 1,500 words)

DataForce by TransPerfect is seeking English (US) Freelance Editors/QAers to review short stories and provide feedback on spelling, grammar, and storytelling elements. The position is contract‑based.

Task Summary

Editors/QAers will review original short stories to ensure accurate spelling, grammar, and guideline compliance, and provide constructive feedback to improve plot, structure, character development, and other storytelling elements. Multiple rounds of review may be required per story.

Job Requirements

• Residence in the United States
• Idiomatic fluency in English (US)
• Graduated or undergraduate degree in literature, journalism, or creative writing, or proven experience in editing, proofreading, or a related field
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to start and complete tasks within the given deadline
