Director Solutions Design, Cloud Operations Step into a leadership role where you’ll shape the future of enterprise AI. As the Director of AI Platform Solutions Architecture, you’ll design and deliver cutting‑edge Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) platforms that power innovation across hybrid and multi‑cloud environments. In this role, you will analyze Requests for Proposals (RFPs), develop client‑tailored solutions for data center logistics, and present for approval to business unit executives and clients. The right candidate will have a continuous improvement mindset and a tendency towards 5S in the workplace. You will travel domestically approximately 25 % of the time, and occasionally internationally, to perform customer site surveys to develop value propositions and solutions.

How you create impact

Partner with product, data, and IT leaders to identify and prioritize AI use cases that deliver value

Architect end‑to‑end Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AI and ML) solutions across hybrid and multi‑cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)

Design scalable data pipelines, model training environments, and inference infrastructure optimized for performance and cost

Oversee the implementation of AI infrastructure, including Graphics Processing Units (GPU) clusters, containerized workloads, and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes

Collaborate with IT Operations to ensure system resilience, observability, and reliability across environments

Build, mentor, and lead cross‑functional teams of cloud engineers, Machine Learning Operations (MLOps) specialists, and AI architects

Partner with external vendors, cloud providers, and technology partners to expand AI platform capabilities

Analyze customer RFPs, RFQs (Request for Quote), and RFIs (Request for Information) to identify solution requirements and requirements for solutions development

Accurately design inputs for the overall solution model

Clarify and resolve complex business issues by breaking them down into meaningful components, determine root causes, and redesign internal and external business processes

What we would like you to bring

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field (PhD preferred)

10‑15 years of experience in cloud architecture, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AI/ML) engineering, or enterprise IT leadership

4+ years of related experience working in a 3PL (Third‑party Logistics) distribution environment

Comprehensive understanding of cloud platforms and data center logistics

Strong understanding of security, compliance, and governance in AI and data systems

Ability to travel an average of 75 % of the time as needed, both domestically and internationally
