About the role Senior Marketing Manager – U.S. • Reporting to the Head of Growth Marketing – U.S., working with the Global Growth and Marketing Team based in the UK. The role shapes Monzo’s presence in the U.S., crafting and executing innovative marketing strategies that resonate with U.S. consumers to grow and scale Monzo.
Key Responsibilities
Marketing campaign planning and execution: build and execute a US‑focused plan, including media/channel strategies, communication tactics, and integrated marketing campaigns.
Positioning & messaging mastery: develop differentiated positioning and impactful messaging frameworks that resonate with target audiences.
Growth/lifecycle campaigns: partner with Product to drive customer acquisition and engagement; map customer journeys for campaign targeting and loyalty.
Creative problem‑solver: collaborate with the team to market to a new audience and devise innovative brand‑growth tactics.
Market insights: aggregate trends, customer feedback, and market research into clear positioning aligned with Monzo brand narratives.
Integrated marketing across channels: design and roll out plans across digital, social, and traditional media.
Agency partnership: manage creative and media agencies, ensuring day‑to‑day collaboration.
Stakeholder management: align marketing efforts with business objectives across Monzo.
Brand consistency: maintain Monzo’s brand identity while adapting to U.S. nuances; ensure messaging and branding consistency across touchpoints.
Reporting: work with data teams to report on key metrics and provide actionable insights.
Regulatory compliance: navigate U.S. regulatory landscape to guarantee marketing activities comply with local rules.
Qualifications & Experience
Track record of working closely with Product and Marketing leadership to shape strategy from early stages of product development.
Experience marketing a financial or tech product to a U.S. consumer audience.
Background in both early‑stage companies and larger organizations.
Strong sense of key messaging and ability to critique creative ideas constructively.
Deep understanding of campaign metrics and channel mix from CRM to paid media to inform GTM tactics.
Comfortable taking ownership and doing hands‑on work.
Excitement about working at a fast‑paced, award‑winning, quickly growing company across multiple markets and time zones.
