Design Showroom Sales Associate
Full‑time (part‑time options available, weekends required) – Hudson Valley, Hudson, NY
Job Description We’re seeking a Design Showroom Sales Associate to join our high‑end showroom. The role focuses on building trust with clients and closing sales by emphasizing value over price. You’ll guide discerning customers, match products to their needs, and solve problems with creativity and professionalism.
What You’ll Do
Greet, qualify, and guide customers – selling on value
Create quotes/invoices and process payments in Shopify / Shopify POS
Log leads and follow‑ups (experience with Podium CRM a plus)
Assist with merchandising, pricing/tagging, and receiving
Help maintain a polished, inviting showroom environment through small upkeep tasks such as watering or light tidying
Success in This Role Looks Like
Creating a welcoming, polished showroom experience for every visitor
Building trust and closing sales by focusing on value, not price
Following up on leads to grow client relationships and repeat business
Thriving in a fast‑paced, design‑driven environment with discerning clients
Job Requirements
Weekend availability (including some holidays; onsite role)
Strong listening skills, a professional presence, and the ability to create a welcoming experience for a discerning clientele with high expectations
Passion for good design and the ability to match customer needs with the right products
Proficiency with Windows PC & Microsoft 365 (creating/exporting PDFs, file management, email attachments)
3+ years of luxury retail sales experience, with proven ability to deliver exceptional customer service and close sales
Familiarity with Shopify and Podium CRM a plus
Ability to occasionally lift up to 35 lbs
Valid driver’s license and reliable commute
Enthusiasm for learning and growing – we’ll provide training and resources and are looking for someone eager to develop their skills and succeed in the role
