Wayfair is hiring a Visual Merchandising Lead for our returns Outlet retail store in

Chandler, AZ . This role offers a starting flat rate of $21.50/hour with growth potential.

Hours 40 hours per week. Store hours are Monday–Saturday 10am–8pm, Sunday 11am–7pm. Employee shifts may include two hours before or after store hours.

What you’ll do

Define, design and implement a flexible visual merchandising strategy that adapts to the wide variety of product that arrives in the outlet.

Manage product flow within the outlet, maximizing product per square foot.

Lead and create a best‑in‑class customer experience as an authentic brand ambassador for the Wayfair family.

Master the Wayfair brand story and communicate with polished professionalism.

Work to amplify the Wayfair brand by being an integral part of a high‑performing, customer‑centric team.

Deliver on sales and service KPIs, productivity standards, and drive profitability goals across all omni‑channel platforms.

Maintain leadership presence through effective floor management and resource allocation.

Manage and monitor stock levels, merchandise adjacencies, presentations, signing, and assortment in all departments to ensure the sales‑floor is adequately stocked.

Ensure the store meets visual, replenishment, cleanliness, safety and back‑of‑house standards during floor leadership shifts.

Perform opening and closing routines and provide supervision to ensure financial goals and customer service standards are met.

Participate in operational store activities: bringing new products to the floor, floor sets, replenishment, substitutions and general store upkeep.

Engage in a high‑energy and dynamic work environment with rapid changes in products and promotions.

As Keyholder, you are responsible for opening and closing the store.

What you’ll need

Retail experience in visual merchandising or education in visual merchandising/interior design.

2+ years of leadership experience managing a team.

Brick & mortar retail experience—furniture or home goods preferred.

Prior experience in outlet or off‑price retail environments preferred.

Track record of thriving in a fast‑paced and changing environment.

Essential Functions

Strong organization, motivation, communication and relationship management skills.

Excellent verbal and active listening skills.

Excellent sales and customer service skills.

Technical acumen to learn necessary software, including the POS system.

Experience with Google Workspace is preferred.

Ability to process information and merchandise through the computer system and POS register system.

Physical Requirements

The job requires frequent standing, walking, talking, and hearing; regular handling of items and occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs.

Vision requirements include close and distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Working Hours Store hours are Monday–Saturday: 10am–8pm & Sunday 11am–7pm. Employee shifts may include two hours before or after store hours. Schedules will be provided at least two weeks in advance and can be traded with teammates as needed.
