About The Role The Senior Architectural Designer will lead the conceptualization and development of innovative architectural projects from inception through completion, ensuring design excellence and functional integrity. This role requires a deep understanding of architectural principles, materials, and construction methods to create sustainable and aesthetically compelling environments. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, clients, and stakeholders to translate complex requirements into practical design solutions. They will also mentor junior designers, fostering professional growth and maintaining high standards of quality and creativity within the design team. Ultimately, this position is pivotal in shaping the built environment while balancing client needs, regulatory compliance, and budgetary constraints across multiple project locations.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.

Professional Architectural License or eligibility to obtain licensure in the relevant states.

Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in architectural design, preferably with a focus on commercial or institutional projects.

Proficiency in architectural design software such as Revit, AutoCAD, and Adobe Creative Suite.

Strong knowledge of building codes, zoning regulations, and construction documentation.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with sustainable design certifications such as LEED or WELL.

Familiarity with 3D modeling and visualization tools like Rhino, SketchUp, or Lumion.

Previous experience managing multi-location projects or working in a multi-office environment.

Excellent communication and client-facing skills with a proven track record of successful project presentations.

Advanced knowledge of BIM workflows and integrated project delivery methods.

Responsibilities

Lead the design and development of architectural projects, ensuring alignment with client goals and regulatory standards.

Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and other consultants to integrate architectural designs with structural and MEP systems.

Prepare detailed drawings, presentations, and specifications using advanced design software and tools.

Oversee project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation to ensure successful project delivery.

Mentor and guide junior design staff, providing constructive feedback and fostering a collaborative team environment.

Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor construction progress and ensure design intent is maintained.

Stay current with industry trends, building codes, and sustainable design practices to inform project strategies.
