Overview We are seeking an experienced SEO Manager to lead and enhance organic search initiatives within a dynamic wellness and hospitality-focused digital environment. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of strong content SEO expertise and technical SEO understanding to help maximize digital visibility and drive measurable growth. This role is a unique opportunity to contribute to an innovative wellness and hospitality digital platform on a flexible freelance basis, with the potential to extend hours based on performance and business needs.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement comprehensive SEO strategies to improve organic search rankings and increase website traffic across multiple properties.
Identify and capitalize on optimization opportunities in on-page content, technical SEO, link-building, and local SEO, including management of business listings and map pack placements.
Conduct thorough keyword research targeting wellness, lifestyle, and luxury audiences to guide content development and align with user intent.
Collaborate with content creators and marketing teams to ensure SEO best practices are integrated without compromising brand voice.
Perform website audits addressing technical SEO factors such as site speed, crawl errors, mobile optimization, indexing, and structure.
Stay current on search engine algorithm updates, emerging SERP features, AI applications in SEO, and Core Web Vitals to adapt strategies proactively.
Analyze SEO performance data and generate actionable reports that inform ongoing optimization efforts.
Conduct competitor research to identify market trends and opportunities to gain competitive advantage.
Educate team members on SEO best practices and foster cross-functional collaboration to optimize project outcomes.
Qualifications
3-5 years of SEO management experience, ideally within wellness, hospitality, lifestyle, or related industries.
Proficient in SEO tools such as SEMrush, Ahrefs, Moz, Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and Screaming Frog.
Solid technical SEO skills, including familiarity with HTML, CSS, website architecture, schema markup, and mobile performance optimization.
Proven ability to develop keyword strategies, optimize content, and manage link-building initiatives.
Experience conducting site migrations with SEO preservation preferred.
Strong analytical skills with capability to interpret data and transform insights into practical recommendations.
Base pay range $45.00/hr - $55.00/hr
