Position Summary Willowtree LLC (soon to be TELUS Digital) is looking for a Staff Growth Marketing Engineer in Charlottesville, VA.

Responsibilities

Conduct discovery engagements to diagnose challenges, identify gaps in functionality, and determine a client’s optimal MarTech stack and architecture.

Lead complex business/technical integrations across a variety of client apps and MarTech tools including CDP, CEP, CRM, MMP, product analytics, and loyalty. Demonstrate technical mastery of a larger number of MarTech tools while maintaining relevant certifications in those platforms.

Organize end state features based on strategic priority and resource constraints to create long‑term development roadmaps for client programs.

Create compelling, visually appealing/understandable presentations that clearly articulate learnings and take‑aways with concrete examples and relevant stories. Provide oversight, coaching, and strategic guidance to client teams in an account leadership capacity and give growth‑oriented feedback when necessary to drive excellence of deliverables.

Push delivery expectations and deliverable quality as a vocal leader in cross‑functional project team environments.

Create technical documentation for engineers that outlines and communicates specific project needs with standardized processes aligned to best practices.

Maintain strong lines of communication with senior client stakeholders to ensure teams remained aligned on delivery expectations while displaying deep understanding of communication hierarchy.

Qualifications

This position requires Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Marketing, or closely related field, plus 5 years of work experience in the job offered or a related occupation.

In the alternative, the employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Marketing, or closely related field, plus 7 years of work experience in the job offered or a related occupation.

OR the employer will accept 10 years of work experience in the job offered or a related occupation.

Special Requirements

Expertise in the design, implementation, integration, and maintenance of best practices and ideal architecture for a company’s MarTech stack.

Expert knowledge of various growth tools across the MarTech landscape, such as Braze, Adobe Experience Platform, Marketo, Segment, mParticle, Branch, Appsflyer, Amplitude, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, and Punchh.

Experience with data planning, orchestrating client data, integrating with data warehouses (e.g. Redshift) and BI tools (e.g. Looker), and advanced reporting.

Demonstrated ability to successfully develop and lead multi‑phase projects with a cross‑functional group of stakeholders across the client organization.

Experience with consulting in a client‑facing/client‑managing role.

Experience leading diverse teams to deliver on project work while mentoring colleagues to develop their own professional skills.

Advanced knowledge of data‑driven marketing best practices: audience segmentation, personalization, retargeting, automation, etc.

Additional Information Must possess expertise/knowledge sufficient to adequately perform the duties of the job being offered.

Expertise/knowledge may be gained through employment experience or education. Such expertise/knowledge cannot be “quantified” by “time”.

May work from home 5 days per week**.

Occasional travel for on‑site client visits will be expected in this role, typically around 3‑5 days per quarter, though frequency varies by client engagement (10% travel required to various unanticipated locations in the United States).

JOB LOCATION: 1835 Broadway Street, Charlottesville, VA 22902

WORK SCHEDULE: 40 hrs/wk (9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.)
