Job Description
Duties
Assist in planning, creating and scheduling content for social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, etc.).
Capture and edit photos / videos for digital marketing campaigns and social posts.
Support event marketing efforts, including on-site social media coverage and live updates.
Write compelling captions and copy tailored to each platform.
Engage with online communities by responding to comments, messages and mentions.
Help monitor social media trends and analytics to optimize engagement.
Perform administrative tasks related to social media and marketing projects.
Collaborate with the MarCom marketing and social media team to brainstorm ideas and identify student stories, accomplishments and other opportunities to share and elevate student voices.
Represent the MarCom team at campus-wide student resource events.
Serve as a brand ambassador.
Other duties as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications
Photography or video editing skills are a bonus.
Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office software.
Strong writing and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Ability to communicate in a professional manner with campus community contacts, including current and potential donors.
Self-motivated, good organizational skills, detail-oriented, ability to prioritize, multi-task and meet deadlines.
Required Qualifications
Undergraduate students must be registered / enrolled in a minimum of six (6) Fall / Spring units.
Post-baccalaureate students in a graduate program must be registered in a minimum of four (4) Fall / Spring units.
Experience with Social Media Platforms and Content Creation
Familiarity with social media content editing tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Express, CapCut, or similar).
Salary Range $16.50 per hour.
