How You'll Make An Impact The main responsibilities of a Senior Sales Executive/ Producer revolve around the ability to network, build relationships, and encourage others to purchase products and services. Pierce Group Benefits has a great network of opportunities with our existing client base. The efforts and responsibilities associated with this position are critical for driving sales revenue, increasing market credibility, and delivering value to our customers by:
Using our existing network of clients to create a rapport with new potential clients to generate engagement (may include scheduling appointments, onsite visits, email outreach campaigns, attending conferences, etc.)
Identifying prospective customers, lead generation, cold calling prospects, and conversion
Maintain a book of business of top-level health clients
Prepare and provide recommendations regarding benefit strategy options for account renewal and present budgetary funding analysis to client leadership teams and executive board members
Being knowledgeable about our products and services and delivering presentations to client leaders or elected board members explaining those products and services, as necessary
Contacting new and existing customers to discuss needs and emphasizing the features of products to highlight how they solve customers’ problems
Demonstrating good judgment in solving problems as well as identifying problems in advance, and proposing solutions
Responding to requests for proposals (RFPs), as necessary
Analyzing business requirements, customer needs, and providing a consultative approach to clients to design employee benefits packages
Ensuring prompt and consistent delivery including closed-loop communications with all internal/external parties
Working closely with the sales team to negotiate prices and terms and prepare sales agreements
Maintaining contact lists and following up with customers to continue relationships
Other duties as assigned
About You Required: Bachelor's degree, 1 year related experience, and appropriate insurance licensing required OR Bachelor's degree, participation in Gallagher's Sales Internship Program (GSIP), and appropriate insurance licensing required OR High School Diploma/GED and 6 years experience.
Preferred:
5+ years of group benefits and health insurance experience
Health and Life Insurance License
Experience with financial and health insurance analysis and tax shelters
Ability to interpret, present, and recommend proposals and renewals
Proficient in public speaking with ability to communicate clearly in both oral presentation and written communication
Exceptional time management and organizational skills to work independently as well as with a team
Professionalism and integrity a must
Knowledge of local government politics
Knowledge of North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia markets
Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office 365 Suite
Excellent communication and critical thinking skills
Ability to create long-lasting relationships
Strong work ethic and enthusiasm for new challenges
Valid Driver’s License
Daytime travel is required throughout our operating territories (NC, SC, VA) with frequent overnight stays to accommodate client meetings and/or conference attendance, as necessary

The actual compensation will be influenced by a wide range of factors including, but not limited to previous experience, education, pay market/geography, complexity or scope, specialized skill set, lines of business/practice area, supply/demand, and scheduled hours.
