LittleStar ABA Therapy
Summary
LittleStar ABA Therapy is looking for a motivated and energetic Music Therapist to provide services to families on the Medicaid Waiver and private pay music therapy services in surrounding areas. Services will occur at the Clarksville therapy center, in the client’s home, and community-based facilities. This position will be PRN to start and will move to full-time upon establishing a full case load.

Condition of Employment
Must successfully pass the initial and updated criminal history, background, and record checks, which includes driving history checks.
Must wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), as provided by LittleStar, where physical distance cannot be attained as needed.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Conduct music therapy assessment to determine appropriate goals to be listed on the PCISP
Create and implement approved treatment plan based on music therapy assessment
Track data per session and report progress on quarterly reports submitted to the treatment team
Implement appropriate response to high-risk areas as outlined in each individual’s high-risk plan
Complete and submit client billing as directed and in a timely manner
Complete and submit additional paperwork in a timely manner (time clock exception forms, incident reports, temperature tracking forms, etc.)
Communicate with clients' families regarding services
Communicate with Waiver Services Director regarding all developments, problems, or concerns as needed and request feedback
Attend and participate in team meetings for clients on caseload
Maintain client and family confidentiality per LittleStar policy and HIPAA Privacy Rule Regulations
Educational Qualifications and Skills
Hold a minimum bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in music therapy
Hold MT-BC certification designated by the Certification Board of Music Therapists
Must possess or be able to obtain CPR and First aid certification annually and perform, as necessary.
Possess and maintain a clear criminal record per Medicaid Waiver regulation requirements
Experience working with individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities
A positive team player and energetic professional
Strong organizational and time management skills along with the ability to manage multiple tasks
Good judgment and creative thinking skills
Be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
Work Environment This position will work in a professional office setting. Sessions will also occur in the client’s home or community-based facilities.
Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear, frequently required to stand, walk, climb stairs, use hands to finger, handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
Travel Therapist will not transport clients; however, will travel to the locations of each session (client’s home or community-based facilities) not to exceed 30 miles.
