The Role As our new Lead Product Designer at Prolific, you will take your place as one of the movers and shakers of Prolific's Product, Research, and Design Group.
Impact:
You will be the Design person responsible for the impact and outcomes of one of the teams building our core data collector experience. This is a career-defining moment to shape how some of the world’s biggest technology companies are building AI…no big deal!
Domain:
You'll bring experience crafting amazing product experiences for enterprise and B2B customers. You will be able to quickly absorb and synthesize large complex business systems and naturally spot ways to simplify them. In a fast-moving and evolving market with emerging needs and priorities, you’ll apply your excellent research and usability testing skills to ensure best solution fit.
Responsibilities
You will report into the Head of Product Design and represent Design cross-functionally across a product group while being accountable for the design output of a stream-aligned team.
You will work to raise the bar of our product’s experience and the Design team by building products that customers love and drive commercial value for the business.
As a player/coach, you’ll directly impact the professional development of Designers across the product group while solving problems hands‑on within your embedded team.
Partner productively with Product Managers, User Research, Analytics, and Engineering to deliver products in a test‑learn‑iterate fashion.

Qualifications – What you’ll bring
An extensive and varied track record. We want to learn from your past experiences.
Experience in line‑managing or acting as player/coach for other Designers.
An understanding and empathy, ideally via demonstrable experience, of the different needs of businesses and enterprises when it comes to their software products (B2B) versus what individual consumers expect (B2C).
Competence or expertise in most or all of: Design tools, models, and methodologies; design systems; vision prototyping; usability testing; service design; data‑led decision making; and design for accessibility.
A storyteller’s flair, a model team player, belief in “strong opinions weakly held”, personal accountability, and a relentless can‑do attitude.
Preferred – Even better if you have
Scale‑up or startup experience.
AI/ML training or AI/ML development experience.
A track record of giving back to your Design community.
