The Marketing Manager is responsible for developing, executing and analyzing venue-based marketing and event strategies and programs that meet the organization’s overall objectives and financial goals. The Marketing Manager will be accountable for leading the development of the venue’s event and marketing program that includes new innovative ideas, talent recommendations, marketing partnerships, promotional activities, advertising recommendations, and VIP Host, social media and public relations coordination. This position will also execute the events and programs on-site. In addition, the Marketing Manager will be very creative and will find ways to increase customer spend and find new sources of business. The Marketing Manager will be responsible for the oversight of the venue’s brand, including market position against competitors.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
Create strategic events based upon overall LV calendar, history, & venue needs
Approve advertising and promotional collateral material
Analyze post events qualitative and quantitative data and provide recommendations
Work in conjunction with Director of Marketing as strategic partners developing annual marketing plans per venue
Suggests talent and follows talent booking process
Mange invoices and budgets
Manage client venue relationships by contacting various organizations attending conferences and marketing venues to companies
Work in conjunction with sponsorship team to leverage and maximize the Company’s sponsorship capabilities
Work in conjunction with media partners to leverage and maximize event activation opportunities and value adds
Closely monitor competitors programming and venue activities
Input event information on event master worksheets (e.g. Event Overview and One Sheet). Maintain document
Develop event advertising needs and passes on to Marketing Coordinator to execute
Liaise with promotions teams (internal, external), informs on promotional rules, and communicates information back to appropriate personnel
Liaise with VIP Services and Executive Management to maximize price yielding opportunities
Responsible for all event communications to the following areas: Executive Management, Public Relations, Advertising, Promotions, Social Media, Sponsorships, Clients, and Operations
Communicate with select artist management and artists, providing them with marketing collateral on a needed basis
Manage the marketing design process via Basecamp in conjunction with the design department
Create new sources of customers through building professional networks and complementary partnerships
Aid in the development of brand strategies and manage tactical execution
Aid in the overall development of new event brands and assists with building and executing pre/during/post launch marketing activities
Assist in conducting market research including customer surveys, competitor research and market positioning
Manage re-branding / re-positioning efforts when needed and enforces brand standards
Support Private Events and Guest Services by managing asset and collateral needs
Assist in developing branded guest experiences for venues and oversees the overall customer journey/experience
Assist and/ or complete additional tasks as assigned
EDUCATION/WORKING KNOWLEDGE:
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, or similar discipline
Minimum of three to five (3-5) years of nightlife / hospitality-based venue marketing management experience with proven track record of financial and creative marketing programming success
21+ years of age
Proficient in Windows Microsoft Office, POS systems, Oracle knowledge preferred
