The Information Technology & Audio Visual Manager is a highly visible role with exposure to guests and senior leadership. The IT & AV Manager maintains the overall operation of the IT and AV infrastructure across the facility and functions as the Business Manager for Technology and Audio Visual to ensure all hotel areas are supported with proper systems and solutions in accordance with brand standards. Responsibilities include technical work, customer service, financial management, administrative and operational duties.
Responsibilities
Coordinate with contractors, IT and AV vendors, and hotel operations to maintain building functionality.
Partner with Sales & Events to deploy and support IT and Audio Visual Equipment, acting as the designated on-site point of contact for guests and meeting planners.
Manage scheduled productions, purchase new equipment, monitor existing inventory, and perform day-to-day operations including setting up and breaking down audio-visual equipment and building relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Work with supervisory personnel, owners, sub-contractors, and design professionals to discuss and resolve matters such as warranty issues and construction-related problems.
Oversee the working order of all hotel systems including but not limited to TVs, Phones, Internet, Digital Key, In-Room Entertainment, Fitness Equipment, Key Card Readers, Electronic Locks, and CCTV.
Support Food and Beverage division systems including Point of Sales Systems hardware and software, Credit Card Readers, and Phones.
Execute contracts and negotiate revisions, changes, and additions to contractual agreements with vendors, consultants, clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
Develop and implement quality control programs.
Develop all departmental operating standards and procedures.
Troubleshoot IT/AV situations in a timely manner as requested from hotel departments and guests.
Maintain communications with Corporate Staff.
Collaborate with programmers, application experts, and computer operators to exchange information and resolve problems regarding daily operation of various application systems.
Qualifications
Prefer candidate with 3+ years of experience in IT or AV, or similar experience.
Technical knowledge of how-to setup, install, troubleshoot, and break down audio visual equipment including cameras, microphones, projectors, and monitors.
Open schedule availability and ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs.
Experience in dealing with multiple guests, clients, hotel associates, and management.
Proficient in network management.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with people of diverse socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds.
Prior equipment specifying and purchasing experience preferred.
Service-oriented style with professional presentations skills.
Proven leadership skills.
Must possess the following strengths: high energy, entrepreneurial spirit, motivational leader, effective communicator, effective in providing exceptional customer service and ability to improve the bottom line.
Clear concise written and verbal communication skills in English.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office.
