We are looking for a skilled Expeditor to join our team in Huntington Beach, CA. This is an on‑site position based in Huntington Beach, CA. We value teamwork, inclusivity, and continuous professional development, and we offer competitive benefits along with opportunities for growth.
Job Summary Coordinate and expedite the flow of work and materials within or between each Work Center throughout the manufacturing process. The key responsibility is to satisfy or fulfill parts shortages on the production floor for all open job orders as per production schedule.
Job Duties
Provide status of backorder parts required for production on open job orders during the daily shortage meeting with planning and production.
Coordinate with Purchasing, Planning and Support departments in expediting parts shortages.
Monitor rejection, scrap and rework of parts and perform necessary actions to place part from inventory or generate replacement job order or requisition to make or buy the part.
Pay backorder in the production floor from inventory and update pull kits with the correct lot number to maintain traceability of the parts issued to the jobs.
Work with Production, Quality, Planning and Engineering in resolving material problems and issues during the manufacturing process.
Possess good verbal and written communication skills.
Provide protection of products awaiting shipping. Follow packaging instructions and in accordance with supplier/customer requirements. Prepare/process shipping documentation.
Drive daily between the warehouse and production floor to facilitate efficient material and part distribution.
Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Maintain a safe, secure and legal work environment, adhering to all Company policies and procedures.
Maintain and protect the confidentiality of the Company’s information and products.
Education High School Diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
Certifications & Licenses Must have a valid Class C driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Experience
Minimum 6 months to 1 year of direct experience.
Position may be filled with both entry‑level and experienced candidates.
Experience working in a team.
Skills Basic computer skills.
Other Requirements
Must be authorized to work in the United States.
Extended or irregular hours may be required.
Elevate Aircraft Seating is an “at‑will” employer; employment is at the mutual consent of both the employee and the employer, and may be terminated at will for any reason, with or without cause, at any time during employment with the Company.
As business conditions warrant a change in the operating necessities of the Company, all employees are expected to react productively, handle other essential tasks assigned now or in the future.
Tasks may vary slightly based on products produced at a division.
Supervision Provided Direction with necessary guidance is provided in terms of tasks and craftsmanship and measured based upon how well tasks have been completed. Receives detailed instructions as needed.
Problem Solving Develop and provide solutions to complex problems based on established precedents and consistent with organization objectives.
Language Skills Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
Compensation & Benefits Elevate Aircraft Seating offers competitive wages and benefits to recognize employees for their work. The base pay offered will vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, location, experience and take into account internal equity.
Hourly Rate Transparency: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour.
