Role Overview

We’re seeking a Podcast Editor to help produce high-quality audio episodes for the Pixel Pulse Podcast. You’ll work closely with our youth hosts to shape raw recordings into polished, engaging episodes. This is a great opportunity for anyone interested in audio production, storytelling, STEM communication, or media creation.

Responsibilities

  • Edit raw audio recordings into clean, clear, listener-friendly episodes
  • Remove background noise, long pauses, errors, and filler audio
  • Add intro/outro music, transitions, or sound design elements
  • Help ensure consistent volume, pacing, and overall sound quality
  • Collaborate with hosts to finalize episode cuts and incorporate feedback
  • Export and deliver final files in required formats
  • Optional:
    • Assist with show notes or short descriptions
    • Suggest topics, segments, or improvements for future episodes

Qualifications

  • Basic experience with audio editing software (e.g., Audacity, GarageBand, Adobe Audition, Reaper, etc.)
  • Strong attention to detail and a good ear for pacing and clarity
  • Ability to meet flexible monthly deadlines
  • Interest in STEM communication, youth media, or digital storytelling
