Prime members can customize their viewing experience and find their favorite movies, series, documentaries, and live sports – including Amazon MGM Studios‑produced series and movies, licensed fan favorites, and programming from Prime Video add‑on subscriptions such as Apple TV+, Max, Crunchyroll, and MGM+. All customers, regardless of whether they have a Prime membership or not, can rent or buy titles, and can enjoy even more content for free with ads. As a Prime Video technologist, you’ll have end‑to‑end ownership of the product, user experience, design, and technology required to deliver state‑of‑the‑art experiences for our customers. The Product Leader will own driving the Prime Video playback roadmap that informs and drives actionable insights to deliver a world‑class streaming experience for customers. Key Responsibilities Define and build the video playback roadmap and customer experience for video across all platforms and geographies. Develop the video strategy and vision, and create product roadmaps to execute on that vision. Work cross‑functionally with engineering, project management, design, operations, finance, legal, business development, customer service, content acquisition, and executive teams to bring products to market, develop and grow business opportunities, and enhance customer experience. Develop a deep understanding of the Prime Video customer, both existing and potential. Assess the competitive landscape and emerging industry trends in the digital video market segments. Partner with key stakeholders to define the product vision, strategy, roadmap, and supporting metrics required to deliver and enhance a best‑in‑class digital video customer experience. Own the development of detailed product requirements documents. Drive projects, products, and feature launches with other teams inside and outside the Prime Video team, including business development, content acquisition, legal, marketing, finance, customer service, and operations. A Day in the Life Your role will repeatedly involve developing strategy, collaborating with cross‑functional partners, delivering product roadmaps, and bringing products to market while managing business opportunities and enhancing the customer experience. Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $136,100/year in the lowest geographic market up to $235,200/year in the highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
