Overview

Copy Editor is responsible for the editorial and style accuracy of all projects produced for two clients on this brand team. The Copy Editor works within the team process to provide editorial oversight and ensure that all content (art, copy, and required balance) is correct, that it includes the accurate and most current required regulatory language, and that it also aligns with the product (or project) standard style. The editor can support the submission and review processes with referencing and document preparation and with implementation of regulatory comments.

Responsibilities

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Copyedit and line edit for all projects throughout the development and review processes Ensure accuracy of all required language and brand and project style Maintain documentation for all current and accurate regulatory language for all brands and projects Maintain documentation for brand and project style guidance Support the creative and technical team with accurate resources during project development Collaborate with project management and account services to develop and maintain review processes Understand and support regulatory review process with reference and documentation preparation Support accurate implementation of review comments Copyedit and line edit all projects throughout the development and review processes - to completion Support the creative and project management team during the development, regulatory and review process Maintain style guidance and regulatory language for all brands and projects Establish and maintain processes and materials that support accurate project development and regulatory review Understand and support use of product claims, messaging and branding elements Qualifications

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

B.S. or B.A. in relevant science or editorial subject (English, Biology) 5 + years of experience in editing, preferably medical writing and production Familiarity with basic style guides, notably the AMA and the Chicago Manual Awareness of pharmaceutical marketing formats and marketing regulations Awareness of medical-legal review processes Ability to read medical literature Familiarity with digital formats and development Must be capable of working both independently and in a team environment Must know how to use Microsoft Word software. Familiarity with Adobe Acrobat desirable

Compensation Range: $53,200 - $70,560 annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met. For regular roles, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
