Studio 45 Technical Coordinator
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Reports to Studio 45 Director
Grade II ($15.10 - $23.40 Based on experience and qualification)
SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES
Coordinates with the Studio 45 Director in production in selecting, programming, and executing the technical components of the Studio 45 environment. Provides coordination and training to tech team volunteers and assists in various roles in the Studio 45 environment.
The incumbent must perform all job duties as outlined in this job description to support ongoing mission of the church while committed in accordance with the Baptist Faith and Message (2000 edition).
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
• Plans, prepares, and coordinates the production elements for the Studio 45 environment. Programs lighting and ProPresenter cues. Loads, prepares, and runs Qlab for the Studio 45 program. (app. 65%)
• Assists with scheduling and communicating for the Studio 45 environment tech volunteers. Coordinates and trains volunteers on tech equipment in the Studio 45 environment. (app. 20%)
• Performs various roles in the environment, including stage hosting, greeting students, and leading a small group as directed. Assists with monitoring the environment and ensuring safety procedures are being followed. (app. 10%)
• Assists with special events for family ministry, as directed. (app. 5%)
These duties are subject to change as church needs and strategies evolve. Employee may be required to perform other duties.
Requirements
EDUCATION/TRAINING• A minimum of a high school diploma is required.EXPERIENCE
• Operating production equipment.
• Working or volunteering in a children's ministry.
• Operating ProPresenter and/or QLab preferred.
REQUIRED SKILLS
• Knowledge of Adobe Suites software.
• Knowledge of computers and the ability to learn new software programs.
• Ability to foster a team environment and a sense of unity among staff and volunteers.
• Able to stay composed and troubleshoot in various situations.
• Computer proficiency, knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel, and preferred knowledge of Planning Center and Basecamp.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Knowledge of standard office administrative practices and procedures.
• Positive temperament, dependability, and professionalism.
• Must have the ability to deal courteously with the public.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands:
• Sitting and standing, carrying, pushing, pulling; some stooping, handling. Hearing and near vision.
• Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds.
• Ascend and descend stairs and/or ramps.
• Communicate verbally with others to exchange information.
• Ability to be in motion for long periods of time.
• Ability to kneel or bend down to a child's eye level.
• Observe and monitor environment from long distances.
• View and operate technological devices, including but not limited to computers, printers, and radios.
• Discern sounds for production of creative elements.
• Must possess the ability to work in environments with theatrical elements, including but not limited to strobing lights and fog.
• Quick reaction with movement.
• Move self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments.
WORKING CONDITIONS
• This position works primarily indoors. Occasional outdoor work may be required.
Weekends are required for this position.
