We are seeking a Structural Corrugated Packaging Designer who is eager to blend creativity with technical expertise. In this dynamic role, you will harness your structural design skills and innovative problem-solving abilities to create packaging that stands out visually while being functional, durable, and cost-efficient. You will engage in all aspects of the design process, from CAD development to testing prototypes and collaborating with graphic designers, playing a crucial role in transforming ideas into impactful packaging products.

Your Responsibilities

• Design custom corrugated packaging and displays using ArtiosCAD to fulfill customer specifications and performance metrics.
• Enhance material efficiency, sizing, and palletization through TOPS or CAPE software.
• Develop prototypes and conduct initial test runs with our Kongsberg cutting table to ensure design viability.
• Work collaboratively with Account Managers, Customer Service, and Production teams to ensure designs meet technical and customer needs.
• Keep detailed and accurate specification sheets while managing project timelines within our systems.
• Order, estimate costs, and monitor tooling for production.
• Assist in lab testing and perform on-site packaging assessments at client locations.
• Collaborate with the Sales team during customer engagements to showcase solutions and gather design requirements.
• Continuously refine existing packaging designs, focusing on cost efficiency and performance enhancements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Packaging, Industrial Design, or a related field preferred.
• 2-5 years of experience in designing corrugated packaging.
• Proficiency in ArtiosCAD, TOPS/CAPE, Microsoft Office, and operating sample cutting tables.
• In-depth understanding of corrugated packaging, printing, tooling, and plant machinery.
• Exceptional 3D visualization, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills with the capability to collaborate effectively across teams and represent the company externally.
