Social Media Strategist – Pappas Restaurants, Inc.
The Social Media Strategist plays a key role in shaping and executing the social media presence for Pappas Restaurants. This position is responsible for developing engaging content, managing campaigns, and analyzing performance across multiple platforms. Working closely with the marketing team, the Social Media Strategist ensures all content aligns with brand standards while driving audience engagement and growth. The ideal candidate is a creative thinker, highly organized, and passionate about storytelling through social media.
Duties & Responsibilities
Collaborate with the marketing team to plan and execute social media campaigns, contests, and promotions.
Develop and manage social calendars to ensure strategic, thoughtful, and engaging content across all platforms.
Regularly visit restaurants to capture photos and videos.
Create high‑quality, visually appealing content, including photos, videos, graphics, and engaging copy for social media platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and TikTok.
Schedule social media posts using Emplifi, ensuring timely and strategic content delivery across platforms.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met and deliverables are completed on time.
Stay current with social media trends, tools, and best practices; implement innovative strategies to enhance reach and engagement.
Monitor, analyze, and report on social media performance, audience engagement, and emerging trends.
Provide support and guidance for social media community management efforts to foster community engagement and brand loyalty.
Collaborate with photographers, videographers, and designers to produce on‑brand visual content.
Manage influencer relationships and agency partnerships, collaborating as needed to support campaign goals.
Monitor competitor activity and industry trends to identify opportunities for innovation and differentiation.
Ensure all social media content aligns with brand voice, tone, and visual identity.
Provide support on additional marketing and social media initiatives as needed.
Minimal Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, Media Production, or a related field.
At least 3‑5 years of experience in social content creation in a professional capacity.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong understanding of social media platforms, including current trends and best practices.
Creative thinker with an innovative approach to content development and storytelling.
Team‑oriented with a positive attitude and openness to constructive feedback.
Working knowledge of photography and videography equipment, as well as editing software.
Strong organizational skills and excellent time‑management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines while efficiently using time.
Ability to take initiative and work independently, while also being a collaborative team player.
Exceptional problem‑solving, innovative thinking, and strategic creativity.
Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, CapCut, Canva, and other editing tools.
Skilled in Microsoft Office programs including Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
Retail, restaurant, or food‑and‑beverage experience, and a passion for staying current with the latest content trends is a plus.
Experience with social media management platforms such as Emplifi or Sprout.
Ability to troubleshoot, adapt, and capture content in fast‑paced restaurant environments.
Essential Physical Job Functions
Perform manual data input for up to 50% of an 8‑hour day on a regular basis.
Operate effectively as a self‑starter who can multi‑task and thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
Work well under pressure with strong organizational and project‑management skills.
