Job Title: Multimedia Journalist - WFSU Public Media Location: Tallahassee, FL Regular/Temporary: Regular Full/Part Time: Full-Time Job ID: 61520 Department WFSU Public Media Responsibilities Research story ideas/sources. Report, write, edit, and produce stories for broadcast, web and social media. Work with the News Director and WFSU team to assist with the distribution of information across our platforms—design and cater content to the specific medium. Occasionally serve as a fill-in host for on-air programming. Qualifications A Bachelor's degree and two years of experience; or a high school diploma or equivalent and six years of experience. (Note: a combination of post high school education and experience equal to six years.) A valid State of Florida or Georgia Driver’s License or the ability to obtain prior to hire. Preferred Qualifications Ability to work under tight deadlines and pressure. Experience in audio, digital and video production. Experience in writing and copy editing. Ability to understand and simplify complex issues. Experience producing long-form, narrative journalism in broadcast and digital. Ability to adapt the material to fit a variety of platforms—audio, print, social and television. Preferred majors: Communications, English, Editing Writing and Media, Journalism, Marketing and Advertising, Filmmaking.
