Job Summary Pay rate: $14.00/hr. Weekly hours: 12 hours, part‑time. Schedule: Friday through Sunday, 5:30PM – 9:30PM. Responsibilities Perform routine cleaning of administrative offices, lobbies, breakrooms, lounges, corridors, bathrooms, elevators and stairways in a clean, neat and sanitary manner. Clean toilets, sanitise restrooms and stock supplies such as toilet paper, paper towels and soap. Dust furniture, exhibit cases, fixtures, windows, doors, trim and related furnishings; move furniture and supplies only when directed by a supervisor. Use safety poles for high dusting. Collect both recyclable and non‑recyclable waste and replace trash‑can liners where applicable. Clean telephones and other surfaces with disinfectants as applicable. Vacuum fully in traffic areas and remove visible debris from carpets. Clean light switches, doors and walls, and tops of modular furniture and blinds. Polish tables, benches, chairs, stainless steel elevators, escalators, water fountains and sinks and remove cobwebs. Safely empty trash into the proper dumping area and break down heavy trash into manageable weights before lifting and dumping. Secure job area with safety signs when mopping or performing other duties that may be hazardous to the public. Lock and unlock doors and windows to offices and other rooms as necessary. Turn off lights when rooms are unoccupied. Arrive on time, dress in company uniform, wear badge and black slip‑resistant safety shoes. Identify and report safety hazards to supervisor and/or manager. Follow Safety Procedures, PPE use and other requirements (i.e., Bloodborne pathogens) based on the job. Responsible for cleaning all bio‑waste using these procedures. Follow all infection control practices including hand‑washing techniques. Work a flexible work schedule which includes nights, weekends, and holidays. Ensure cleaning carts are not left unattended and that they are properly and safely replenished after each shift. Keep custodial closets locked at all times and keys properly signed in and out and left at the job site. Keep hallways and pathways clear of carts, cleaning equipment, tools, and any other hazardous items that could result in trips and falls. Leave equipment and cleaning materials clean at the end of each shift and ready to use. Complete additional duties as assigned.
