Position Title: Ophthalmic Photographer (DMG OKC, Full-time) Department: General Overhead General Description: The Ophthalmic Photographer is responsible for documenting patients' eyes, including the retinas, corneas, and other ocular structures, through photography and imaging devices to aid in diagnosing eye-related diseases and disorders. Essential Responsibilities Greet and direct patients requiring imaging. Input patient information and testing information into an electronic medical records system. Perform ophthalmic photography to document pathological findings and conditions. Perform routine maintenance and repair of equipment used in the ophthalmic photography area. Input and retrieve patient images from an image management system. Clean and restock patient care areas in the department. Maintain photo supply and equipment inventory. General Responsibilities Performs other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Education: High School Diploma or GED required. Experience: No experience required. License(s)/Certification(s)/Registration(s) Required: None. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Ability to interact professionally with healthcare practitioners and patients. Ability to effectively communicate information. Ability to observe and obtain information from all relevant sources. Ability to work as a member of a team. Must be detail oriented and able to multi-task. Ability to maintain composure even in difficult situations. Ability to be understanding and sensitive to needs of others. Excellent customer service skills. Ability to learn and use high tech imaging equipment to include: Fundus cameras, OCT Anterior Segment, Zeiss Cirrus OCT, Heidelberg Spectralis, Fluorescein Angiography, Indocyanine Green Angiography, Endothelial Cell counters, Photo slit lamp, etc. OU Health is an equal opportunity employer.
