Adjunct Faculty, Art Appreciation‑Studio Art
Location: LSC‑CyFair, Cypress, TX 77433.
Employment Details: Regular – Part‑time, semester‑based. Instructors may teach up to five classes per academic year.

Responsibilities
- Teach art courses at varied times and locations.
- Create engaging lessons that promote student involvement and application of material.
- Submit required college reports and forms promptly.
- Utilize established institutional syllabus guidelines.
- Meet with and advise students via appointments, electronic communication, or other appropriate methods.
- Evaluate students to measure progress toward course objectives and inform them in a timely manner.
- Maintain professional relationships with students, colleagues, and the community.
- Attend meetings, trainings, and orientations as required.
- Perform any other reasonable related duties as assigned.

Physical and Work Conditions
The work is sedentary with occasional walking, standing, bending, or carrying light items. No special physical demands are required.
Work occurs in a climate‑controlled classroom or lab with minimal safety hazards. Hours vary by class schedule; instructors must be available outside class time.
Required Qualifications
- MA or MFA in art, studio art, art education or art history OR a Master’s degree with 18 graduate hours in art, studio art, or art history.
Compensation and Benefits
Salary: $55.44 per contact hour.
