Speech Pathologist-Communication Disorders I/P

Location: METROHEALTH MEDICAL CENTER

Biweekly Hours: 80.00

Shift: Days, 4 x 10 hour shifts with regular Saturday coverage.

Primary Skills Utilized / Learned

  • Administers/interprets appropriate assessment measures in order to form appropriate recommendations for the management of communication disorders.
  • Develops/provides treatment programs for patient populations ranging from children through geriatric.
  • Upholds the mission, vision, values, and customer service standards of The MetroHealth System.

Required Qualifications

  • Masters Degree in speech pathology and a valid State of Ohio Speech‑Language Pathology Licensure
  • Must be certified as a Speech‑Language Pathologist by the American Speech‑Language and Hearing Association (ASHA)
  • (or) must obtain certification: within 12 months of hire for a full‑time employee, within 18 months of hire for a part‑time employee
  • Possesses current BLS certification, or obtains within 90 days of hire.
  • Ability to travel to satellite locations.

Physical Qualifications

  • May sit, stand, stoop, bend, and ambulate intermittently during the day.
  • May need to sit or stand for extended periods.
  • See in the normal visual range with or without correction.
  • Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction.
