Position Overview
The NYU Tisch Graduate Film Program is searching to fill an Assistant or Associate position in Producing on a full‑time, tenure‑track to commence in September 2026.
Essential Qualifications
The ideal candidate should have a significant body of produced narrative films and/or television and will be experienced in all aspects of producing: creative, script development, casting, set management, budgets, scheduling and post‑production. On‑set experience managing productions and the budgeting process is preferred. Ideal candidates will also have experience with physical production and safety practices in the field.
Teaching experience at the university level is preferred or the demonstrable capacity to translate one’s professional experience into dynamic teaching is also acceptable.
Responsibilities
Faculty members will teach 5 courses per year, advise graduate students, and participate in departmental and/or school‑wide committees. Candidates should be prepared to participate fully in the Program, as well as in other functions of the University, as required. On‑going professional work is encouraged and expected. Finalists may be asked to submit creative work.

Salary and Benefits
Salary, to be negotiated, includes an excellent benefits package. In compliance with NYC’s Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for an Assistant Professor rank position is $70,000 - $110,000 and the annual base salary range for an Associate Professor rank position is $89,000 - $129,000.
