Position Summary The

Patient Care Coordinator

serves as the first point of contact for patients, families, and referral sources. This role is vital in ensuring a seamless patient experience—from scheduling and insurance coordination to supporting clinicians with documentation and follow-up care.

Key Responsibilities

Greet patients and manage front office reception duties in a welcoming, professional manner. Marketing to new referral sources Handle patient care plans, scheduling, and prosthetic device orders. Communicate with referral sources, physicians, and therapists regarding patient care needs. Verify insurance benefits, obtain prior authorizations, and assist with billing documentation. Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in compliance with HIPAA. Assist with office organization and daily workflow to ensure efficient operations.

Qualifications

Spanish speaking is required High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred. Experience in healthcare administration, patient coordination, or medical office setting (prosthetics/orthotics experience a plus). Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills. Compassionate, professional, and patient-centered attitude. Reliable transportation is required
