RUN Studios is seeking a
Media Artist
for an exciting opportunity in the gaming industry with one of our largest clients. In this role, you’ll be part of a creative team responsible for crafting cinematic experiences that bring gameplay and storytelling to life.
The Media Artist will play a key role in producing world‑class video content and imagery that drive brand awareness and engagement for a major game title. The ideal candidate is both technically skilled and artistically driven, with a strong understanding of cinematography, 3D camera animation, in‑game cinematics, and video editing. This person thrives in a collaborative, fast‑paced environment and has a passion for visual storytelling and the gaming industry.
As a Media Artist, You Will
Create and capture high‑quality in‑game footage and screenshots using 3D camera animation and proprietary in‑engine tools.
Participate in creating compelling trailers, imagery, cinematics, and gameplay videos with excellent pacing and exciting content.
Support video edits from shot lists, storyboards, and pre‑viz edits with a careful focus on camera framing, shot composition, and edit flow.
Execute tasks with continuity of the brand look and appeal while also creating fresh, impactful visuals that help increase brand awareness.
Balance quality with efficiency while managing timely deliveries in a fast‑paced production environment.
Able to take direction and incorporate feedback.
Perform other related duties as needed.
As an Applicant, You Bring
Awareness of production processes for creating custom video game cinematics.
Deep understanding of cinematography, video editing, photo editing, and lighting.
Experience with the Adobe Creative Suite (primarily Premiere, After Effects, and Photoshop).
Cultivated aesthetic sense and keen eye for detail.
Strong understanding of cinematic language and camera terminology.
Self‑motivated team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to quickly learn new/proprietary software.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in film/games or related field.
Creative and technical skills as a 3D generalist, capable of scene building, camera work, animating, and visual effects.
Broad knowledge in 3DS Max, Maya, Cinema4D, or other similar 3D programs.
Post‑production & motion graphics skills including, but not limited to, color grading, typography, transitions, rotoscoping, and compositing.
Working experience with Unreal, Unity, or other game engines.
Familiarity with development kits and troubleshooting.
Experience with conventional cameras (DSLR, Mirrorless, Red, etc.).
Automotive enthusiast with a passion for racing games.
Understanding and knowledge of marketing trends and best practices.
Examples of in‑game cinematic work.
Examples of editing to demonstrate pacing, rhythm, and flow.
Examples of high‑resolution photography stills or videos shoots.
Examples of 3D camera work is a huge plus.

Physical Demands
Must be able to accommodate prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Typical environment for remote work.

Compensation
Pay Range:
$103,000 - $108,000
The successful candidate’s starting pay within this range will be based on various factors such as individual qualifications and work location.
Benefits and perks may vary depending on location and nature of the work, but eligible employees have access to medical, dental, vision, life, and AD&D benefits, health savings and flexible spending accounts, other telehealth and wellness benefits, a minimum of seven paid holidays per year, accrual of at least 6.5 days (Temporary Employment) to at least 15 days (Regular Employment) of paid time off per year, a 401k plan with company match, discretionary bonuses dependent on company, team or individual performance, and referral bonuses for eligible hired referrals.
