Base pay range $160,000.00/yr - $170,000.00/yr

Key Responsibilities

Full-cycle design of custom optical sensor products to customer specifications, leveraging advanced thin film technologies

Work on a cross-functional hands‑on engineering team integrated with on‑site manufacturing

Collaborate within a cleanroom‑like, high‑tech lab/manufacturing setting

Utilize industry‑standard thin film design and modeling software

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years’ experience in thin film design (not just coatings or battery film/process backgrounds); 10+ yrs a plus

Bachelor’s degree or higher in any engineering discipline

Hands‑on experience with thin film design software: Filmstar, Optilayer, TF Calc, McLeod (older, but valued)

Preferred industry backgrounds: defense, aerospace, medical devices

Experience with PVD and complex, multilayer substrates (must‑have); CVD is a plus
