Sr. Technical Designer, Apparel We’re looking for a Sr. Technical Designer to lead all aspects of technical design and fit—from translating creative concepts into production-ready garments that meet Quince’s standards for quality, construction, and consistency. You’ll partner with Merchandising to ensure each style is executed with precision and efficiency from proto through bulk production. Success in this position means making fit a competitive advantage at Quince—driving revenue growth through repeat purchases. The Tech Designer will evaluate and evolve fit standards and processes to optimize fit for our most important customers. You will work with international partners and internal teams to build and implement fit blocks, evaluate fit samples, recommend revisions, and move products to Pre-Production approval in collaboration with merchandising, sourcing, product development and production. Responsibilities

Build fit blocks for key styles to serve as starting points for future garment development. Manage the fit process from 1st Proto to Bulk production. Develop, maintain, and update technical spec pages for all styles, ensuring accuracy and consistency by category. Spec garments, conduct fit sessions, and create detailed fit comments for vendors and factories. Collaborate with international technical design teams to build fit processes that can be maintained by teammates abroad. Work with merchandising teams to maintain quality and consistency across products while incorporating feedback from customer and sales data. Evaluate paper and digital patterns and make revisions to perfect fit appeal of garments. Sketch detailed flats and use Google Sheets and Excel for communication with internal and external teams. Ensure all garments align with company standards for fit, construction, and quality. Troubleshoot and provide solutions for pattern and construction issues as needed. Qualifications

Required: Minimum of 8+ years as a technical designer or in a related role Comprehensive understanding of pattern making, garment construction, and grading Software proficiency in pattern making software, Excel, and Google Sheets Attention to detail with accuracy in creating and reviewing technical specifications Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams Creative and resourceful in addressing technical challenges Physical Requirements: Lifting up to 50 pounds Standing and walking throughout the shift Ability to go up and down stairs; use of ladders as needed Bending, twisting, or kneeling for lifting or maneuvering objects May be asked to work outside or travel to shoots off-site as needed All posted ranges are reflective of base salary and may vary depending upon experience level and location. Bonus and equity may also be provided for eligible roles. Pay Range $120,000 - $140,000 USD Why Quince?
