Freelance/Contract (10–20 hrs/week to start), possibility of converting to full-time
About the Role We’re looking for an AI render artist who can prompt-engineer and generate production-ready images for brand campaigns and architectural/interior mock-ups—no physical shoots or traditional photography. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a high‑taste, narrative‑driven studio environment and can consistently translate abstract creative direction into elevated, on‑brand visuals. You’ll craft atmosphere, styling, and spatial narratives: think models in designed spaces, refined workwear looks, and interiors with an intentional, soulful, minimalist vibe.
What You’ll Do: Concepting & Visual Development
Interpret creative direction, briefs, and moodboards to establish the visual approach for each project.
Develop concepts, spatial narratives, styling directions, and atmospheres that align with the creative intent.
AI Image Generation (Campaigns & Lifestyle)
Generate photorealistic or stylized images featuring models within designed environments (residential, hospitality, retail)
Execute precise prompt engineering, including multi‑reference blending, wardrobe direction, lighting control, and spatial composition.
Produce variations and explorations quickly—iterating on prompts, seeds, and upscales to achieve final looks.
Architectural & Interior Renders
Transform moodboards, sketches, design mockups, and 3D models into believable, high‑fidelity room or exterior renders.
Use tools like ControlNet, LoRA, and node‑based workflows (ComfyUI) to preserve layout accuracy, materials, and design intent.
Ensure all renders express our brand’s interior design language and meet the standard of “client‑ready” realism.
Conduct non‑destructive post‑work, including cleanup, retouching, compositing, and color refinement.
Perform relighting, masking, and detail enhancement as needed to elevate images to production quality.
Assemble clean before/after comps, contact sheets, or version sets for review.
Workflow, File Management & Documentation
Maintain organized, versioned working files across all projects.
Document key details such as prompts, seeds, workflow diagrams, and model/checkpoint usage for reproducibility.
Build a growing internal prompt bank and style library to help streamline future projects.
Work closely with the creative director to translate narrative direction into visual outcomes.
Present options, explain creative/technical decisions, and incorporate feedback quickly and accurately.
Communicate proactively about timelines, technical constraints, and opportunities to refine or elevate the work.
Must‑Have Skills
Advanced prompt engineering skills in at least one leading model (Midjourney, Stable Diffusion SDXL/SD3), with hands‑on experience using ControlNet, LoRA, and node‑based workflows (e.g., ComfyUI).
Strong eye for lighting, composition, materials, textures, and spatial realism.
Ability to art‑direct models, wardrobe, and scene details within generated environments.
Proficiency in Photoshop for retouching, compositing, masking, generative fill, and relighting.
Ability to translate sketches, moodboards, markups, and design concepts into polished, consistent final renders.
Strong organizational habits: clean file management, versioning, documentation of prompts/seeds, and reproducible workflows.
Understanding of copyright, ethical considerations, and limitations surrounding training data, likenesses, and style mimicry.
Reliable, self‑directed work style with the ability to stay on‑brand without heavy oversight.
Nice to Have
Background in interior design, architecture visualization, or environmental design.
Familiarity with 3D tools such as SketchUp, Blender, Enscape, or V‑Ray for base geometry or reference generation.
Experience creating imagery for brand campaigns, editorial/lifestyle shoots, or fashion lookbooks.
Ability to work with AI‑driven motion tools for runway clips, clean‑ups, or turntables.
Familiarity with high‑end lifestyle aesthetics or interior design.
Final image sets per brief (typically 3–6 hero images plus alternates), delivered as 4K+ PNG or TIFF files; layered files provided where applicable.
Before/after comps, explorations, or contact sheets that clearly show iteration paths and options.
A documented workflow for each major deliverable, including key prompts, seeds, checkpoints, and relevant notes.
Contribution to an internal prompt bank, style guides, and repeatable systems that support consistency across the studio’s visual language.
Engagement & Compensation
Freelance contract to start (10–20 hours per week).
Compensation to be commensurate with experience and prevailing market rates.
Per‑deliverable pricing may also be considered depending on portfolio and scope.
High‑performing freelancers may be offered a full‑time role with benefits.
