The

Venture Marketing & Events Manager

will manage Venture Partnership programs that enable mentors, startups, investors and other partners to connect, collaborate and thrive in Arizona and beyond. This individual will provide support in the execution and enablement of digital platforms and organize and promote live events. Additionally, the Venture Marketing & Events Manager will serve as a liaison between the Innovation team and marketing, supporting ACA’s brand in all communication and visual assets.

Primary Responsibilities

Responsible for the building, maintenance, operations, and marketing of our digital community platforms.

Own events from start to finish; managing contacts, event curation, organization, marketing and facilitation.

Work collaboratively with internal Marketing & Communications staff and external stakeholders to develop presentations, website content, e-blasts, and other materials to support marketing and communication.

Lead the collection, compilation, and analysis of program activity data; maintain consistent documentation per agency compliance needs and provide activity reports as requested.

Engage with and host participants and stakeholders at all levels, including CEOs, founders, investors, and partner organizations with high levels of discernment and grace.

Participate in the generation of program resources and in the design and development of program operating goals, objectives, and protocols and related tasks.

Managing registration lists, overseeing parking validation, ensuring guests are welcomed, food and beverages are ordered and available when needed for events.

Vendor management for events, onsite facilities support, including setting up chairs and tables.

Staffing tables at events, transporting banners, signage, cards and other swag to and from events.

Effectively and seamlessly manage relationships across internal and external stakeholders, including IT, Business Development, Research and Marketing & Communications.

Assist leadership with any other related duties and special projects.

Competency, Educational, & Experience Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications or a related field of study; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Minimum five (5) years of professional experience directly related to the standard duties as outlined.

Demonstrated strong methodical and strategic thinking.

Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills; highly collaborative team approach to work.

Experience working with marketing systems and social media platforms.

Strong Project Management skills with a successful record of managing multiple projects at the same time.

Demonstrated ability to work independently in rapidly changing environments.

Experience creating and facilitating virtual webinars and presentations.

Proficiency with MS Office suite, SharePoint, CRMs, Co-Pilot and other software tools.

Ability to attend day, evening and weekend events that are outside of regular business hours.

Base compensation for this role is between $70k - $75k and dependent on experience.

Highly Preferred Skills, Abilities & Qualifications

Familiarity or experience working in public university settings, business development, or start-up or small business ventures.

Self-starter interested in contributing to a dynamic and growing program with a non-traditional approach.

Strong client service skills: ability to work well with individuals across diverse teams and cultures.

Ability to work independently based on general guidance and experience and ability to work collaboratively.

Strong attention to detail; entrepreneurial and team-based mindset.

Strong communication both written and verbal.

Interest and capability to design and implement systems and plan campaigns.

Positive, independent, self‑motivated team player with an innate desire to help others.
