Job Title: Marketing Specialist

This is an ideal role for a marketing professional eager to join a growing digital and radio business. As our Marketing Specialist, you will be responsible for selling digital and radio campaigns across a wide range of digital products and radio stations in Boone, NC. You will work directly with the VP of Sales, Digital Coordinator, Digital Team Leader, and the Executive VP of radio stations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Account Management:

Work directly with clients, prospects, and company account executives to support their needs and communicate client expectations. Sales Process:

Conduct in-field calls with prospective clients, utilizing the sales process from creating digital and radio campaigns through Client Needs Analysis, Client Pitch Presentations, to closing sales. Revenue Goals:

Achieve revenue targets confidently and consistently. Business Development:

Build and maintain a billing book of business with guidance from the VP of Sales. Digital Campaign Support:

Collaborate with the Digital Coordinator to process proposals, insertion orders, sample ads, and reporting (digital only). Project Management:

Track timelines, due dates, reviews, and approvals for campaign launches. Graphics Coordination:

Ensure ad graphics are developed and deadlines met to keep schedules on track. Product Knowledge:

Maintain knowledge of radio and digital products through ongoing training. Campaign Monitoring:

Monitor campaign performance to meet impression and spot goals, adjusting priorities as needed. Reporting:

Review and present campaign performance reports to clients at month-end or campaign completion. Client Communication:

Work closely with clients to ensure campaign execution and performance meet expectations. Qualifications:

Strong organization and follow-through skills; a logical, process-oriented mindset that contributes strategically to campaigns. High work ethic, self-motivated, with a sales-driven attitude. Professional demeanor; comfortable with client presentations and interactions. Ability to collaborate effectively within dynamic team environments and meet deadlines. Quick-witted with a solutions-oriented approach to responsibilities. Deep understanding of performance marketing, especially radio and digital capabilities. Self-motivated, strategic thinker with a proactive attitude and strong teamwork skills. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment. Strong partnership and influencing skills. Comfortable working with senior management. Ability to identify new customer acquisition opportunities through well-developed relationships with channel partners and media agencies. Bachelor’s Degree in Communications/Marketing preferred, or equivalent work experience. 1-3 years of sales experience preferred. Curtis Media Group is an equal opportunity employer.
